HAIR-APY!

So while I was home last weekend... I decided to be drastic and I went ahead and got a big change!
But before I show you the new... I'll show you the old!...
^^^^^^^
This was my hair before....

This is my hair now!!! I LOVE IT! :-)
What do you think?

In other news... this week has been so emotional!!! Sometimes being a girl just really.. well.. sucks. I don't know why but everything just annoys me or makes me cry. It's pretty much ridiculous.

This weekend was also my nieces FIRST BIRTHDAY! I can't even believe it! She is so stinking cute! I just love her to death!
Her pap gave her a HUGE Hershey's Bar! It was pretty much the funniest thing ever! Look at that face! Then they gave her her cake! It was all in her hair and everything. I loved it! You only turn 1 once! LOL!
Also, I can honestly say that this is the second time EVER i have seen my brother that dressed up! He could seriously be a model! LOL! He went to a formal this weekend with his girlfriend.

In other news.... I went to the mall today and Old Navy was having an AMAZING sale! 50% off the clearance price! I got a cute yellow cardigan (seen in the above picture of my new hair) and a tan sweater that is really really cute. Both for $6.00 each. They were both originally $30.00 each!!!! :-) I was one happy camper!

I have so much to read tonight... so I should probably stop blogging and get to reading Pharmacology... LOL!

Until next time.....

Heavy Eyes....

Okay.. so today is 2 weeks that I've been back to classes right?! ZZZZzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzz.... That is what I feel like. SO TIRED! I've been staying up kind of late reading! I don't have a whole lot of work to do this semester... but a WHOLE LOT of READING. I feel like at all times I need to be reading something. Walking and reading.... eating and reading.... you get the picture. I don't do this however, but trying to manage my time is kind of exhausting. Wednesdays are so long too.

The good news is that I make time for American Idol on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! LOL! Last nights was so funny! My favorite so far as a reject was the crazy dude that wore the white and silver crazy costume! HE was hysterical! LOL! My real favorite so far are unknown at this point.

I'm going home this weekend! Kadence's FIRST BIRTHDAY is on Sunday! I cannot believe she is going to be one! She is getting big and walking all over the place! She's so cute! I can't wait to see her! I also can't wait to be at home. I have a nursing test on Monday so I will have to study some while at home which ultimately stinks! But... oh well! College stinks pretty much! LOL!

Hmm.... that's pretty much all the excitement right now.... besides the fact that I got my new dress from Delias today for Easter and weddings and stuff coming up this year... I'm pretty pumped about it! I'm not posting a picture because then it won't be a SURPRISE when I wear it! DUH! lol! Also, I got some good deals at Goodwill the other day and Mom got me some stuff at the S & A Boutique the other day (a.k.a The Salvation Army)! LOL!

Well I better go read and not waste time blogging anymore!!

patience is a virtue... I don't have it.

I read this scripture and I like it a lot... what do you think?

"For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may LIVE A LIFE worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and PATIENCE, and JOYFULLY giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has RESCUED us from the DOMINION of DARKNESS and brought us in the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of Sins." 1 Colossians 1: 9-14

I just think that's an awesome passage. I definitely need to work on living life to please God in every way and bearing the fruit I was blessed with. I know patience is not my fruit of the spirit... that's FOR SURE! I am so impatient! I hate that.... but I have tried to control it and there just is no controlling it. We all know that if we pray for patience, God will give us something to be patient about. Let me TELL YOU... I know that most certainly is true.

First few days of classes... CHECK! Completed...

I think I am going to like this semester. It is definitely going to be a lot of reading and work... but I think I will like all my classes. I have Pharmacology, Common Health Problems (those are my 2 nursing classes..) and Short Fiction, and Philosophy of Religion are 2 of the final 4 general elective courses I have left in my college career. LOL!

Well... that's all I have for right now... let me know what you think about the passage I posted.. any different thoughts on it??

WHEW! Sigh of relief... and now back to the real world!

YAY FOR 2008 and the beginning of a New Year!!!!

Unfortunately... all good things bust come to an end. I go back to Wesleyan on Tuesday morning....

This break has been WONDERFUL! I've got to spend time with my family, friends I haven't seen or talked to in months, Matt and his family... it has just been so great. It was definitely much needed! I love being home.. and yet I love living away from home... it's kind of weird. I don't realize how much I miss home until I've been here awhile or I've been gone for a month or more.

Christmas was fabulous this year. I got some much needed things... a Brita water pitcher, a cell phone car charger, fabulous boots...vera bradley planner, notebook and pencils, cd player alarm clock, an old school SEGA GENESIS WITH SONIC THE HEDGEHOG!!!! :-) Saved By The Bell, E.R., and Grey's Anatomy seasons on DVD, Ray Lamontagne, Stevie Wonder, and Frank Sinatra CDS... and plenty more wonderful things... but the most precious to me was the ring that my parents go for me. There are 3 opals... 2 small ones which were my grandmother (dad's mom) whom I never met. They were her earrings.. and the bigger middle opal was my mom's.. in a necklace. She had all the stones put into a ring setting. The setting is beautiful. It is very antique looking. I LOVE IT!!!Sorry, it's a little blurry...

This break has also been a refresher in my spiritual life... I've been able to sort of take a breather and realize how important God needs to be in my life. He needs to be number one... and I know this... but we all know that being human, sometimes putting God first is not the easiest thing in the world AT ALL! I love that we can have refreshers in our walk with God. That He can just open our eyes and make us realize just how AWESOME He truly is, and just how much we need Him in our lives. He has made me realize that I need to be thankful for TODAY. I have always struggled with that so much. I am always looking forward to the next chapter of my life. Always looking forward instead of just enjoying the moment. I need to enjoy this chapter of my life and realize that God has me here for a reason. He created this chapter and He is in charge. I need to make a difference now instead of wondering and thinking about the future differences I will make. I need to bless the people around me right now, and be blessed by the people in my life right now.
All of this is so easy to type on a blog to the world... b
ut not as easy to live by. I wish it was this easy. I guess it's just a constant issue I need to work on and pray about.

So Tuesday is back to the grind... back to nursing school, working in admissions, piano, friends :-), and studying. I'm actually kind of anxious to get back and get into the routine of things. I started weight watchers on my own and I am anxious to get back and get into an exercise routine at the nautilus everyday and to make more time for God everyday. To see friends and make more new friends.

Hope everyone had a marvelous holiday and a great beginning of a wonderful new year!!!

I'll leave you with some pictures of this holiday season!
