Summer Fashion Week:Day3

Day 3 already!?!? whew! This week is going fast!!!
Another morning of just throwing something on until I go to work. I tried a little harder this morning though I guess.

I've been loving everyone's fashion!!

Today I have to go get my car inspected and fill out paperwork to have my nursing license transferred to Illinois. So I'm gonna be running errands again today before work.

Tomorrow is my last day of work for the summer!!! Then it's on to WEDDING PLANNING nonstop! Working out final details is not easy!!!

So, I had to work today, but before I went to work I did some errands. Here is what I threw on before I put on my baggy ole scrubs to go to work.

I look like a goober in this picture... but I snapped it real quick before I went out the door this morning.

Tanks:: Forever 21
Shorts:: Thrifted

I'll try to have something better tomorrow....

Summer Fashion Week: Day 1

Summer Fashion Week is underway! So here is the kick off to my week! ;-)

Matt and I went and got our Marriage license this morning and then went to lunch with my mom. It's cooler today so I may be throwing a sweater over this sundress for the evening.

This is the necklace I have on. I had the diamond from a friend's wedding last summer and bought the Harmony ring from a craft store. It's my new favorite. :-)

Can't wait to see what everyone's wearing!

Home.

So the quote of the day from my mom is "Katy, in 24 days your life is going to completely change".

I got in the car and began to drive to the reception location to meet with the event planner. John Mayer's song "Stop This Train" came on my CD player *yes, Matt, I was listening to John Mayer in the car. Get over it.*

As the song played I started crying thinking about how for 3 years I have completely wished my life away. I knew I was doing it, and I am totally okay with it. I didn't really enjoy my college years at Wesleyan as much
as I maybe should have, but I never really was into that scene. I had fun while I was there, but let's face it, sororities and partying wasn't my thing. I did, however, meet some amazing people and got the opportunity to go to Africa, which would have never happened. I know God wanted me there, and I did enjoy my time as much as possible as a nursing student.

Anyways, today I really just realized that my life truly is about to take a complete 100% change. I am about to get married, and move to a completely different state 10 hours away from home. My mom and I are really close. I try to joke and say that I won't miss her or that I'm tough and independent, but I've relied on my parents quite a bit throughout my whole life.

I am about to have to rely 100% on my husband and that is going to be a change.

I am getting really excited about marriage and Matt and I's life together in Chicago. I know it will have it's ups and downs but I'm ready to take on that rollercoaster and enjoy the ride! (sorry for the cheesy analogy... had to happen! ;-)

So after all this wedding planning is over and I get all moved in to my apartment in Chicago, I was thinking about doing a lot more knitting and possibly opening an Etsy shop. I had gotten some comments awhile back about my hair bow that I made, and someone had mentioned opening an Etsy shop to sell them. So, I need some opinions on whether or not that would be worth it. Anyone?!

Here is a picture of what it looked like. The ones I sell of course would be neater and not have a piece sticking out. Any comments or advice on this?! I would make scarves too and probably start into making some different headbands and cowls as well. ??? Is it worth it or would it be a bust?!

I'm getting pretty excited about !!! Don't forget to check out emery's blog. She has the most adorable little boys ever, and join in on SUMMER FASHION WEEK!!!!

LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, my name is Katy. AND I HAVE A LIFE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited because now I can blog about things that are EXCITING! Instead of, "all I do is study... nursing school sucks.... blah blah blah!"

I passed my nursing boards last Thursday and since then it feels like I have had this incredible elephant weight lifted off of my shoulders!! It is amazing to have a life and be able to do WHATEVER I WANT without having to study.

Looking back on the past 4-5 years, I honestly never thought this time of my life would ever come! It was always this distant dream that never felt like reality. Graduation, passing boards, planning my wedding, enjoying life! :-) but.... IT'S HERE and I'm loving it!!!!

I am so excited for the next chapter of my life!

Matt and I have been enjoying time together when we can, (even though I have a life, I am working 40 hours a week and he's working part time as well).

Anyways, here I am, a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree, getting ready to get married in ONE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, blog world. I'm back. In action! ready to take on this blogging thing again!

I think I'll start it off with some pictures of my life for the past month!
First, I graduated from Nursing School!!! :-)But the fun of studying everyday still had to go on. Until last Thursday I did practice questions every day for 5 weeks. But now I'm a real nurse! ;-)

I told Matt R.N. really stood for Registered Ninja, because that's how I feel sometimes. haha!

My nieces are ADORABLE! this is Ava, I bought her and Kadence a kiddie pool and Ava LOVED the fountain. She kept sticking her whole face in it. So hilarious! I've been trying to see them as much as possible since Matt and I are going to be moving in August. I'm gonna miss seeing them!!! :-(

Matt and I celebrated his 24th birthday in Pittsburgh. It was a surprise. I planned the whole day. We went to the Carnegie museum to see the Dinosaur exhibit (he loved Dino's when he was little. hehe) After the museum we went to Urban Outfitters. Then went to Dave and Busters and had dinner and ran around with our arcade tokens like little kids.I had my bridal shower!!!! It was so much fun! Matt and I got tons of stuff! my bridesmaids (above) threw it for me and it was so much fun!!

Matt and I have been to 5 wedding's so far this summer. We are now done attending weddings until our own in 1 month! haha!

So it's been a very busy, eventful, and very fun summer so far and it's about to get even busier and more fun! ;-)

Glad to be back in the blogging world!!

My next project---

I'm excited to see what everyone is wearing this summer!
