24 things for 24 years!

Last year I did a post on my 23rd birthday and so this year I thought I'd do another recap.

During my 23rd year of life I: (in no particular order)

1.) Finished out my nursing school career!

2.) Learned to Knit

3.) Was inducted into the National Nursing Honor Society

4.) Planned a Wedding

5.) Had 2 Bridal Showers

6.) Was in one of my best friend's wedding

7.) Worked out, then quit working out.

8.) Passed my nursing boards the first time!!!

9.) Got MARRIED!!!!

10.) Went to Jamaica

11.) Moved out of state for the first time-- Hello Chicago! :-) I love you so far.

12.) Got my first nursing job!! (just of last week!)

I am sure there were some other things that happened along the way the past year.

I was inspired by Tara to set 24 goals for myself for the 24th year of my life. So here goes....

1.) Start working out again- (run a 5k by spring)
2.) Travel to surrounding states-- Indiana, Minnesota, Iowa, etc. At least 1 or 2.
3.) Get a Macbook or an IPhone
4.) Knit a cowl. Learn to Knit in the Round.
5.) Learn to be a great wife. :-)
6.) Communicate better.
7.) Consume less caffeine
8.) Bake more delicious things. (Cheesecake, Pies and Cupcakes OH MY!)
9.) Open an Etsy shop
10.) Visit my Family
11.) Get a sewing machine and sew my own clothing, pillows, etc.
12.) Go to more antique shops
13.) Start a box herb garden next spring
14.) Be more patient
15.) Eat Healthier (be vegetarian for awhile?!?!)
16.) Go to more concerts (Local Natives, Ray Lamontagne, Ingrid Michaelson, are some of the ones I'm watching for coming to Chicago).
17.) Be frugal financially and save money
18.) Continue decorating our apartment by making more things myself
19.) Continue to learn to play Ukulele and possibly Guitar
20.) Be a great nurse
21.) Go apple picking and bake an apple pie
22.) Keep in touch with friends and family back home better
23.) Learn to appreciate today ( I am getting so much better at this).
24.) Read more books

and one to grow on (and most important)

25.) Grow more in my relationship with God. Read my Bible more and learn to live my life as an example and show love in all my actions and the way I live my life. :-)

There you have it!!!

My birthday was fantastic this year! I spent it with my husband. Went on a shopping spree. Went to the Green Mill Cocktail Lounge formally owned by Al Capone and his henchmen. Playing that evening, a gypsy Jazz band. It was delightful!

Last night we spent with our close friends and neighbors, who made me brownies and we watched American Psycho (a crazy weird movie might I add).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! ;-)
